Life continues...may we all stay strong and be responsible during this period

Hi Everyone, I am back again! If you are reading this entry, I am really thankful!

Recently, I got to update the blog with a few food series, I was able to do so because I was under SHN which is also otherwise known as Stay Home Notice (SHN)!

To give you a rough background about my situation, I am a Singaporean and yes I am residing in Singapore. There were many implemented rules and regulations and I had to obey the SHN and stay at home for a period of 14 days because I travelled. Today is already my fourteenth day since I returned and time indeed flies. I will explain further below!

I am sure most people would know about the current pandemic that is occurring and affecting many parts of the world. Yes, Covid19, the virus which causes mainly respiratory problems, fever, cough and many more symptoms. Usually, the symptoms would occur within the period of 2-14 days and I had to be observed under Stay Home Notice (SHN) because I recently travelled to one of the many ASEAN countries. Indonesia, Bali. I am thankful that I got to slowly appreciate and learn not to take things such as travelling or freedom for granted during my 14 days at home.

I really had fun when I was there as it was the earlier on before the virus worsened, even in Indonesia itself which was why the government implemented many rules and regulations in order to counter and lower the chances of people spreading the virus from one to another.
This period in time, really made me miss the time when I had the freedom to go wherever I wanted to go and do whatever I had in mind. With the ongoing situation such things are not normal anymore, even making a trip to the supermarket for groceries are avoided, making a trip to your favourite local cafe or coffee shop is not that easy anymore.

We have to abide by the rules such as Social Distancing, that includes our human to human interaction being lessened by a lot more than usual. We are to keep at least 1metre distance away from the next person closest to us. We are to keep a certain distance away from any strangers, or sometimes even our family and friends while dining or simply spending time in a common space. I understand that all these are necessary in order to avoid spreading the virus even more due to contact but this is really going to be challenging as none of us is used to any of these.

May we all work together as one united nation, region, the world to conquer this Pandemic.
I realised and I see many people posting about the effects of this virus, the good part would be that many parts of the world are finally able to breathe because the day to day activities that we as humans do in our own country or at our own comfort is actually badly harming the environment. Perhaps that is the only good thing now, that we are taking a break from all the harmful activities and allowing our earth to breath a little more before falling sick again.

However, the greatest wish I have is that all family, friends, strangers, everybody be it I know them or not that we will all be safe, responsible, free from the claws of the virus. All the ones who contracted the virus may they overcome the adversity they are facing with the Grace of God! God bless all!
I am absolutely thankful for all the front-line staff, healthcare staff (our nurses and doctors), everybody that is involved in trying to turn the situation around for the better. Thank you so much for your long hours of sacrifice and work!

Stay strong! We will be able to overcome this not as one but as a whole! Amen!
