FOOD BLOG POST II: Remaking food (roasted chicken rice)
HI! IT IS ME AGAIN! Recently, I have been really interested in recreating already made foods and I kept thinking about how I could make it better than it already is!
You know that feeling when it feels like something is missing? Or when you takeaway food and it went cold already?
Here's what you can do to improve on your dish or to warm your food up by not just microwaving it even though that is indeed one solution!

Here's what you can do to improve on your dish or to warm your food up by not just microwaving it even though that is indeed one solution!
Remaking Chicken Rice!
Here are some things that you need:
- a takeaway packet of food
(can be anything, chicken rice, roast duck, roast meat, char siew etc)
- 2 eggs
- spices and sauces if you need more (sesame oil, light soya sauce, pepper)
*not required unless you want
- garlic (to be minced)
- a medium flat pan / or any other pan you have
*I simply used my favourite pan
Here are the steps:
Firstly,
Separate the meat and the roasted skin that comes with it. (if you are using chicken rice)
Make sure to cut/shred the meat into smaller pieces alongside with the skin to make it crispier later on.
Minced some garlic.
Secondly,
Heat up the pan, when it is hot drizzle a little oil and oil the pan well.
Once done, crack the egg and fry it well. Make sure to break it up into smaller pieces while frying too.
Add the minced garlic, if needed add a little more oil.
Once the fragrance is out, add the meat and skin to fry a little more.
Add the rice last, fry until it is well mixed.
Taste to see if it is okay otherwise, add the spices and sauces as you prefer.
| Bring the pan onto the stove and heat it up, medium heat would do. |
Lastly, enjoy the food you have just cooked and improved on!
